So what's the story behind Super Mario Bros 2?

Super Mario Bros 2 has the worst ending ever. It is also the worst mario game besides Mario is Missing.

What about Mario's Time Machine? And Super Mario Bros. 2 is awesome. Sure, it's just Doki Doki Panic with Mario slapped on it but it's still really fun.

I don't think Mario Bros 2 was a giant drug trip.

I think the Japanese are just so wacky that half the things they come up with sober are the same things Americans discover when they go soul searching throught the desert on a lot of peyote.

Japan SMB2 is the "Lost Levels" on Super Mario All-Stars (some of it is at least, the WHOLE game might not be there) and the American SMB2 was a game in Japan called Doki Doki Panic as seen here:

I know which one's which, I have both on VC. I was just confused if the thread was about the Japan or US Super Mario Bros 2.
