Has anyone played this? Wondering if I should play through the first one or if the story makes sense playing II on its own.

Got it the first day it came out. It feels like your playing Goodfellas. You don't need to play the first one but in order to understand the irony of somethings you should. Plus they finally did it your car can run out of gas

From the impressions I got from the demo is that it could be great story wise, but other elements are lacking. Also the missions seemed to be mostly using the "go there, kill people" formula which I really hate and I think it's the reason why I don't like gta type games anymore.

The demo is different then the actual game but theres alot more then killing. From doing a bid in prison to selling cigarette cartons out of a back of a car plus the first level in Sicily during WW2
