If you're enjoying it, then I would say go for it. One thing you mention that I didn't realize when I was considering further studies is that the field does change if you give it a year or two. Continuing to be in a place where you are in it, even if you're not that actively engaged (as I certainly wasn't), is a big deal. Go to all the free things you can.
I kind of miss academia, but the demand for involvement and contribution of papers and symposiums and whatnot wasn't for me. If I could've kept going in more of a typical undergraduate kind of way, that would've been great.
