I never really got into RSS subscriptions until recently and have been going crazy adding them to Google Reader.

EDIT: To expand this topic, what are your social media subscriptions in general (e.g., Twitter/Youtube/RSS feeds)?

It is basically like an update. Imagine it is like the score ticker on ESPN, when a team scores it shows you the current score of the game at the bottom of the screen.

An RSS feed shows you a current update from a webpage be it news source, blog or even forum.

Sign up for iGoogle and use their home page and you can set up as many RSS Feeds as you want for any page that has them enabled.

    I use several!

As far as social networking I use Facebook and Twitter, that's about it. I also have a blog but I haven't updated it in a coon's age.

You need an RSS Reader on your phone.
