He's a god of death. He doesn't say all that much he just enjoys watching the human world as the realm of the death gods is boring. He hangs around the main character but only ever helps him if it's in exchange for apples...otherwise he doesn't care about the lives of anyone.

I completely sympathize. As this thing whittles down, I'm rapidly coming to the conclusion that your average GR poster's taste in TV sucks. And yet the comic & movie showdowns turned out so well......
