Must-Have GameCube Classics

To continue the trend of "Must-Have" forum posts, I've decided to start a new one for a console that I'm sure many of you hold near and dear to your heart...

The GameCube.

So what are you favorites? Which are must-haves?

Here are mine:

Wind Waker
Twilight Princess
Metroid Prime
Eternal Darkness
Super Mario Sunshine
MGS: Twin Snakes
Smash Bros. Melee

And I actually like Star Fox Adventures quite a bit. Am I crazy?

My shelf:

Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes
Resident Evil 4
The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction
Chibi-Robo
Eternal Darkness
Enter the Matrix (SHUT UP I LOVE IT)
Ikaruga
Metroid Prime
Killer7
Medal of Honor Rising Sun
007 Nightfire (the grappling hook is so much fun in multiplayer)
PN03
Soul Calibur II
Spider-Man 2
SSX 3
Star Wars Bounty Hunter
Star Wars The Clone Wars
Star Wars Rogue Squadron 3: Rogue Leader Rogue Rogue Rogue
Super Mario Sunshine
Super Smash Bros Melee
Timesplitters 2 (so good)
Wario World
Wave Race Blue Storm

Mario Kart Double Dash
Mario Golf Toadstool Tour
Mario Power Tennis
WarioWorld
Mario Party 6 & 7
Super Mario Sunshine
and I really wish I had WarioWare, but I don't.

These are the games I've played. I missed out on some of the better games in the GameCube's library, because I couldn't afford it. I bought a GameCube myself, after it had dropped to $99. My dad ended up buying most of the games in our collection.

Luigi's Mansion
Windwaker
Metroid Prime
Smash Bros
Mario Party (forgot which ones are GC)

That's pretty much all I played.

You know, when I think back, the GameCube really had an incredible "launch window" of games. Smash Bros., Luigis Mansion, Rogue Squadron, Eternal Darkness, Metroid Prime.

Viewtiful Joe dawg. That shit IS the shit.

Although it was on PS2 as well, so you may already have played it.

Melee came so early in the GCN's life that it was kind of inseparable from the system for a lot of people. Seems appropriate that people go back to that and say it's still the best Smash game.

I'm still of the opinion that the first Smash Bros. was the best.

Same goes with Mario Kart. Say what you want about Double Dash or 64, but nothing beats the SNES version.

I'm always surprised how people like Double Dash. I never got into it and therefore never bought it.

And sorry Alex, but Mario Kart DS is the best Mario Kart (or possibly MK7 on 3DS... nah, that one is in second).
