I know there was a thread already made about this, but I don't think the release date was ever revealed, as well as a official trailer. Anyhow the release day is May 3rd, which is good for me because it's one day after my birthday.
Here's the trailer

Do you guys think this game is getting too much hype? I'm a little worried it is.

EDIT: Did not see the Mani-festo entry at all

DOUBLE EDIT: Now it's June 14th for the game

Not really. It was a good album but was an underwhelming seller. I expect the same here; a good game, but underwhelming in sales because of the stigma it has attached automatically.

And here I am thinking you are talking about the current Chinese political situation ... Haha.

By the way, who's the author behind the album? :)

Why do I feel this game will have everything to do, but none of it will be polished enough to be amazing?

Probably because you just perfectly described Gearbox's other game, Borderlands.

So far, about a couple of hours into Borderlands, it feels like a cell-shaded Fallout minus the dialogue choices.

Haha it looks fucking awesome!!

I hope they have a lot of in game jokey bits. EG the peeing thing. And he had BETTER say shake it baby.

Borderlands' fun is completely dependent on playing with others. So...does this mean we're going to have co-op in Duke? I wish...

Hopefully it does! Co-op in Duke 64 is great.

watched the trailer today and I got me a little excited, the only reason I say little excited is because I never really played any of the Duke games before (I know huge crime). The closest to playing a Duke Nukem game would be a app I used to have on my iPod. I think it looks great it made me laugh and seems like there's gonna be plenty of stuff to make the game enjoyable. I'm just afraid when it comes out it might not be polished or people who don't know it's legacy will say it's stupid and compare it to serious sam, halo or another modern game. Or basically a similar effect to what Links stated. Besides in the unfortunate chance it does suck at least it finally got released.
