Community Choice Game of the Year Showdown!

So Mortal Kombat? Since technically you don't really teleport in Portal, you just rip open a hole in space-time. Anyway, Portal 2.

Deus Ex HR gets my vote.

Community Choice Game of the Year Showdown!

Oh don't worry, I'm just ribbing you. And even if I were serious, why would it matter if some random guy on the internet didn't think you were really a fan of something?

Community Choice Game of the Year Showdown!

Pretty sure that if you can't spell his nickname correctly, your vote doesn't count. Anyway, Bastion gets my vote! EDIT: And assuming that non-fan I quoted's vote still counts, I do believe they're both at 8 votes.

Bethesda releases Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall for free.

Link To celebrate the series' 15th anniversary, Bethesda Softworks have released the infamously buggy and incredibly ambitious second game, Daggerfall (released in 1996), for free. This is pretty surprising, since up until a few weeks ago they were saying that they had no plans of ever...

200 Billion robbery in EVE Online

Eh, it might be a good bit of ISK, but it's nothing compared to GoonSwarm's takeover of Band of Brothers, which won them trillions in ISK, trillions more in assets, and broke apart the one of the most powerful empires the game had ever seen. It also lacks the flair of the Guiding Hand hit, the...

How big is your game Collection?

I have about 190-200 games in total, with slightly over half being for the PC. You can see all the games who's names I remembered in my Gamespot profile. Atari Lynx: 7 DS: 7 Gameboy/Colour: 5 GBA: 7 Gamecube: 8 MegaDrive/Genesis: At least 13, although probably not more than 18. NES: At...

Best stand up comedian of 07

Jamie Kennedy, if only for his stunningly brilliant performance at Activision's E3 press conference earlier this year.

    Best and Worst Movie-to-Game Translations

For games actually based on movies, as opposed to being set in the universe (eg Tron 2.0, Riddick, KotOR), the best for me is either King Kong, Spiderman 2, or Goldeneye. As for worst, I don't play any movie-based games unless I've heard good things about them, so I haven't really played any bad...

    Most Irritating Game Enemy

That's definitely one of them. Cliffracers from Morrowind are another.

    Dead Games

Resident Evil for the Gameboy Color was one game I looked forward to that got cancelled (some gameplay videos here. It looked like a pretty faithful port), and Sonic X-Treme, despite the god-awful name, was looking quite good.

Do you read any video game magazines?

When I was living in Australia I regularly got PC Powerplay, and used to buy Hyper (I stopped getting it about 5 issues after Cam Shea took over from Eliot Fish as editor). Here in the UK I sometimes get an issue of Games TM or PC Format, although only if something in it interests me.

    Domination game

I remember an old PS1 game that involved strategic-level world domination, but I'm afraid I've forgotten the name. I think most of it took place on a globe screen (ie, like google earth)
