The Matrix is awesome. #2 and #3 were unfortunate disasters though. I never even watched 3 all the way through in one sitting. Just saw it on cable a few times. Sad.

If you like the first Matrix, check out a little independent action scifi movie called Equilibrium. You won't be disappointed.

If you like equilibrium then you have to watch the raid. Trust me, watching a film like that in a theater is a once in a lifetime thing. You might gonna regret watching this only on blue ray. Every action film with martial art is going to suck in comparison afterward, even if it's ong-bak. YEAH I SAID IT! WHAT WHAT!

Lien's fun fact: Did you know that you can find my brother as an extra in Ong-bak in the background of the bar scene? He's at 0:10 of this video with his reddish hair behind the guy in the black vest

That's really neat Lien. I wonder why I haven't watched that movie yet. It has been on my watch list for so long.

Latest movie I watched were Public Enemies. I really like Depp in roles like this one. Hes got those old gangster looks.

Oh man, Ong-Bak is so good. Haven't seen any of the sequels though.

Hero with Jet Li is another good one but that's a movie for people interested in a compelling story. Ong-Bak is just eye-candy for insane martial arts and stunts.

Isn't the villain in Ong Bak a transvestite, or is that another Tony Jaa film? I loved that one.

The villain in Ong-Bak is the guy who smokes through his throat. I love that film. Mostly because it was myself and my uni friend's "bonding" film. We were hall buds and it was our first night in halls in first year, we watched Ong-Bak - we are now best friends.

    The Cabin in the Woods

Surprisingly really good! Right from the start I was expecting it to be over the top cheesy but the movie is actually pretty self-aware. It worked more on a comedic level than a horror but was still very entertaining. I don't want to give anything away but the third act was insane.

    I'm thinking of The Protector.

I watched about 30 minutes of Pandorum last night but I don't think I'll finish it.

I liked Pandorum. Probably would have been better with a slightly bigger budget, but the idea of it was pretty good.

If you're talking about Dark of the Moon, well..I'm sorry. I was trying to find things I liked about it. In hindsight, it's a horrible, horrible movie.

I too saw this flick and....I don't know what I'd give it. It totally caught me by surprise because I hadn't seen any trailers so I didn't know what to expect. It was good though. It didn't take itself too seriously but...Was it sloppily put together? I don't know what it was but something is preventing me from having a solid rating for this one.

I don't think it took itself seriously at all but that's what made it work. It was completely ridiculous but that's what made it fun.

That's why Lethean is cool. He apologizes and takes me shoe shopping to make up for it.

I saw chimpanzee. It was fascinating and brilliant. It's been a while sinse I saw an all negro-film but despite the fact they were all black it was still pretty good.

    Lockout

Pros: Guy Pearce has about every tough guy line you can think of.

    Cons: Everything else.

That looks like a fun time. Super cliche obviously, but I'll watch it.

"He's the best there is... but he's a loose cannon."

    Actual line from the trailer.
