Doing a lot more digital marketing than last time. Living out in San Francisco Bay now.

And as a fan of the Guardians of the Galaxy comic (both the terrible, awful 90s version and the post-Annihilation version), loved the movie Bret

I liked it. It was funny where it had to be, in a very irreverent sense and the rapid-fire rapport between Franco and Rogen likely being improvised the whole time.

It also works as a satire on not just Korea, but media in general in a way that reminded me of Network in a few instances; the self-absorbed, insanely superficial news system that folks like to watch, but hate to hear about.

Not the best in the end, but definitely not the worst either

My girlfriend and I watched a Disney animated film, Brother Bear. It was a beautiful movie, nice watch.

In contrast, I might be seeing American Sniper next weekend.

Eh... I think I just really went into this movie with the wrong expectations so it ruined it for me. Still a pretty good movie though. Loved how it was shot. If I went in knowing it was a psychological thriller, and not so much an actual horror/scary movie, I think I may have enjoyed it a heck of a lot more.

Oh that's not the movie poster? Ah well...

Mila Kunis was great, Channing Tatum was great, the movie was... Not great.

I honestly don't know what to say about this since I have no idea what the hell it was about. I mean it starts off ok but then gets so convoluted and confusing that Donnie Darko made more sense.

The movie was dazzling to look at, those Wachinski siblings do know a thing or two about visual effects. So I guess if you do drugs then smoke a bunch of weed and just go trip out because it won't make any sense sober.

I just watched Kingsman The Secret Service in 4DX. The film was fucking great! Good plot, good action, good humour. One of the best I've seen in the last 5 years certainly.

Hell, there was one particular fight scene in a church that followed a main character around killing the shit out of about 50 people (a bit like those 300 solo fights), that lasted for a top 10 minutes... I was out of breath! I would pay to watch the film again for that fight scene alone.

The 4DX was fun. But it's just like 3D...takes my focus away from the actual film, and is gimmicky. Would be great for families with kids though.

Wait, they are traveling through time while watching a movie. Is it forward through time?

I specifically browsed this topic to see if anyone had seen Jupiter Ascending and am sad to hear that you thought it sucked. I was excited to see it, what about the movie sucked? Story? Too cliche?

Whoops, I forgot that I also saw Jupiter Ascending!

Honestly, it wasn't bad. It wasn't good, but it wasn't bad.
The intro was okay, but a bit... tacky? And then the action started, and there was a twenty minute long scene of Mila Kunis falling off shit, and then Channing Tatum flying in and rescuing her. This happened like ten times in a three minute segment of the big, dumb action scene. And it happened like twenty more times in the movie. Stop falling off shit, Mila Kunis!

Oh, and you know how at the end of Shrek there's the scene where he has to come in and stop the marriage? Well that happens... twice. Fucking twice, they do the WILL THE HERO GET THERE AT THE LAST POSSIBLE SECOND DESPITE PERILS AND STOP THE GIRL FROM MAKING A MISTAKE? Yes. Yes he will. Fucking twice. Which is two more times than it needs to happen.

Overall, it is a C+ movie. A lot of neat ideas, but overall it needed a rewrite and an editor.

It's a shame to hear that Jupiter Ascending is average and not that great. I saw the trailers and it looked really interesting. I'm a sucker for space fantasy stuff like that.

Haven't watched a movie in a while... I'm flying interstate this afternoon and I plan on watching Guardians of the Galaxy on my iPad.
