Yeah, the waterfall and Johnny Depp's pedophile song were both good.

Little Red Riding Hood was awful, as was Jack. The ending was stupid as fuck. But overall I was entertained and never too bored. Better than I could've expected.

Favorite movie I have seen in a long time. Very slow paced film from start to finish but I watched it twice and didn't lose interest at any point both times.Tom Hardy's character is awesome, and I have a huge crush on Noomi Rapace, have for a long time. Very well acted from everyone, even Rocco, the dog.

Too good. Also appreciate how it feels like such a gritty, dark crime movie. But they manage to pull off that atmosphere with very, very little violence, and almost no swearing/sex/or crude talk. The only pretty violent scene was built up for the entire movie and was just a feel good moment when it finally happened. Proves you don't need to be ridiculously over the top obscene, like The Departed for instance, to make a gritty crime movie. (The Departed is still one of my favorite movies though)...

    Bruh, do you even Sondheim?

Just got back from American Sniper. It was a lot better than I thought it would be actually, Bradley Cooper is great.

The Interview. It wasn't that bad of a movie. It didn't deserve the free marketing for it.

The Interview was an interesting dark comedy. Some of it was a lot funnier than other parts (that I felt were a tad excessive just for shock value). It was great seeing James Franco play another bumbling idiot and Seth Rogen playing Seth Rogen. I guess if it ain't broke don't fix it. Also being a Lord of the Rings fan I enjoyed a few inside jokes.

For a movie that pretty much went straight to Netflix it's hard to criticize it. It's definitely better than something you'd find in the DVD bargain bin at Wal-Mart for $7. But don't go in expecting comic gold either.

The Dark Knight, watched it on my iPad on the plane ride home from Singapore to Australia.

Also watched Kick Ass 2 on my iPad (while riding a three hour bus ride in Japan) and I watched X-Men: Days of Future Past on the plane ride from Japan to Singapore.

    Love the super hero movies.

That's how I felt...this is one of those movies that definitely was hurt by the inclusion of Tom Cruise. His movies are usually good, but I'm always just kinda "eh" about seeing them in theater.

Anyone seen Whiplash yet? It looks so good, but I hate living in an area that only has 3 movies a week usually.

I honestly thought he was perfect, since his character is supposed to be this big greaseball scumbag.

Agreed, he's a good enough actor but let's be honest...he doesn't sell tickets like he used to. I feel like this movie should've done so much better in the theaters because it was a ton of fun to watch.

I don't know, I greatly enjoyed him having to play against type for the first half of the movie where he basically can't be the typical Tom Cruise action star.

it was definitely my favorite movie of last year though. Him and Emily Blunt were a great pairing on screen.

Saw American Sniper recently. The movie was fine, but I'd have liked the movie more if the story had been more focused on the experience of being a sniper in that kind of conflict, and not the bad-guy sniper. I mean, I know that's how it supposedly happened in real life, but I think it just would have been a more interesting film. Of course, the issues surrounding the real guy that the film whitewashes away sort of ruined the film for me anyways, because his character is portrayed as some stand-up patriot, but then when you read his book he comes off as a racist jerk who probably killed innocent people to pad his kill total.

Also watched John Wick. Keanu being an emotionless killing machine was interesting. Pretty average action film.

Running Man? That movie has some of the best one liners.

"Here is Subzero! Now, Plain Zero!"

"What happened to Buzzsaw?" "Oh, he had to split."

All those Arnold movies were full of great one-liners; so cheesy and awesome.

Hey Longo, yeah, it has been a while.

Been doing a lot of forum work my current company and figured I'd log back into GR to see how things are. Still a lot of familiar faces.

    I applaud for Dynamo.
