This list is my own impression and opinion however,
anyone is free to comment or make a suggestion.

    1.) Vain Glory

    Price: Free with in-game purchases

Ever wanted to play DOTA/LOL on your android device? Vain Glory is the answer!
A 3V3 competitive online Moba game it has a single lane and a jungle area below, why I like this game so much is that it is more focused on ganking and clashes even early in the game instead of farming and racing to get better gear.
The downside of this game is that it’s pretty large requiring 2GB of space and a fairly powerful device I play it on my Nexus 7 and LG G Pro 2 with no issues.

    2.) King of fighters 98

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8cdy_PEBkE

    Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.snkplaymore.android007&hl=en

Price: 2.99$ ( I got mine from the SNK Humble Bundle Sale.)

Street fighter was a disappointment since it was not a direct port of the PS3 but a dumbed down version but this classic fighting game is a direct emulation of the arcade version the boss team from the PS2 version is missing but everything else is there.

The game works well with Bluetooth controllers as well I use and 8bitdo control pad, well I don’t really know if this should count since it was originally an arcade/console game but I like playing it on my devices when I travel.

Feel free to add me my ID is: thecraponahat

    3.) Game of Dice

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=galh6ql3vUs

    Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.joycity.god&hl=en

    Price: Free with in-game purchases

This game is probably the newest in the list it’s a card game/RPG/board game, quite hard to explain but to put it simply it’s a short version of monopoly but on steroids!
Monopoly matches can take hours, don’t get me wrong I love Monopoly but I am also an adult that has a regular job and with less time to spend (me and other people I know) this game just scratches that itch!

There is also a ranking system, unique characters (to what would be board game pieces) you level up your character and dices it’s really something you should try it because if I were to write about it I would need a whole topic for it alone.
The down side is there is no direct chat during play just a lot of taunting, well Heartstone did away with chat too…

My ID in this game is: Laughingman I am active in pinging (you get bonus stuff by sending a ping to your list of friends after every few hours)

    4.) World of Tanks Blitz

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6xq76Nx0vZ0

    Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.wargaming.wot.blitz&hl=en

    Price: Free with in-game purchases

This game suffers the love/hate syndrome I love this game I just love tanks I build plastic models but I hate it when the team does not work together, I love it when the team works together!

I hate the grind! I love tanks (cry) if you love tanks get the game.

It’s a team vs team tank battle similar to the PC version except smaller and matches play out faster.

The downside is that there is also premium ammunition in this game which means it will be pay to win in later games when you have the heaviest tier of tanks

    (but I love tanks!!)

    5.) Pocket Mine 2

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GaV4rXZmi0o

    Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ca.roofdog.pm2&hl=en

    Price: Free with in-game purchases

I downloaded this game on a whim originally because I saw it as a new title when I browsed the store but I got hooked once I started playing it,
so basically you dig and try to reach the bottom of the stage using your pick with has limited strikes.

You get cash for digging out ores there are chests that contain cards or artifacts, each area has around 5 stages I do not know exactly how many areas there are
I am in the 10th and each of the areas has a unique character which you will control.

The downside is that the characters are all in-game purchases while you can earn free gems it’s a grind to do so but you can also just save up and buy them since you can earn gems in-game.

Feel free to recommend a game for Android which you think I should check out I don't have an IOS device so no apple please and I don't plan on buying overpriced crap.

Thumbs up for Vain Glory. One of the best games ever made for mobile. Of course it's a matter of personal taste.

No Lara Croft GO? Easily the best game of 2015 period. No Tales from the Borderlands, Lifeline, Adventures of Poco Eco? Chaos Rings III, Path to Luma? Order and Chaos II?

Lifeline had a fantastic and memorable story

Tales from the Borderlands was an awesome adventure game with memorable characters

Adventures of Poco Eco had beautiful art and wonderful soundtrack. (So good I actually listen to it outside of the game).

Chaos Rings 3 continues the Squenix JRPG series on mobile platforms and has great gameplay and is a top notch JRPG experience.

Path to Luma is easily one of the best puzzle games on mobile platforms period. Very clever and the message of renewable energy and keeping the planet green is another bonus.

Order and Chaos II is probably the best MMO on Android with amazing visuals and great PVE gameplay. Very similar to WoW, but has its own twist.

A decent list, but this seems very random as most of those games are F2P and not well known...and KoF 98? That's pretty random. It's a port for one, and not the best port out there of that title.
