Call of Duty Reaches $1 billion and Gambling w/ Zyng

Hey guys, was browsing around some news a little while ago and found Call of Duty Reaches $1 billion in sales. Not sure if I'm allowed to link to 'other' sites but a google search can find this.

Also, Zynga has applied for an online gambling license with the Nevada Gaming Control Board for real-money online casinos. Hopefully with this comes more push to get legislation going on changing current U.S. online gambling regulation. Would you play online poker with real money on Zynga? I would if it's anything like the current state of Zynga Poker (lots of fish, easy money).

About Call Of Duty... not surprised. The thing I wonder is how long their cash - cow will last and what the next 'big - thing' will be. :)

About Zynga... didn't they start thinking about Online Casinos because their stocks are crashing through the floor and are in a financial crisis?

I haven't played CoD consistently since BLOPS and that was mostly just to play Zombies w/ roomies and distant friends on Live. I rented MW3 from Redbox, played 1 multiplayer round and returned it. There was nothing worth paying $60 for and I'm assuming BLOPS is the same. I guess I'll rent it and see.

As for Zynga, I know they've had losses over the past year. But yes, they are looking for other revenue sources since the Farmville craze is over. Zynga Poker is also their biggest app, so I guess it makes sense to get into this market, although it will appeal to a different crowd.
