Blue-Ray

Someone please explain to me why blue-ray is so "special" and why its so freakin' expensive?

 

Better resolution and a lot more space than your standard dvds.

 

I like tacos.

 

what about against HD, from what I understand, it's the mirror image as Blu-Ray in terms of space and resolution, the only difference is the sound quality of Blu-Ray is slightly clearer.
