Descent / Descent 2, biatch! Oh yes, thanks to some old game discs and the fine folks at www.dxx-rebirth.com, I fired up some real nostalgia. See also http://www.descent2.de There still has never been anything quite like it, IMO.

I just tried out Torchlight (1st one) last night, spent nearly 4 hours on it! It's a fun little dungeon-crawler, and I think that it improved upon the Diablo formula in some very understated yet much appreciated ways.

Don't tell me you're zooming in and ogling the Sisters of Battle again... :roll:

Hmm, I never saw any of 3.. Saw some in-game screens and footage from 2 that pretty much looked like 1 just hi-def with moar blood & demony darkness.. In other words, excellent. 8) I've only beaten it on normal and hard. Beyond that, yeah it got pretty freaking ridiculous. :shock:

I like firin' up the old games sometimes. Roller Coaster Tycoon .. stupid I know! Ninja Gaiden (xbox) Age of Empires 3 American McGee's Alice Riven & Myst 3.. wrote my own walkthru's for these ones back in the day ;) Halo 1 & 2... 1 on PC as well as xbox. Good times!

How about that cinematic in Starcraft when Raynor says goodbye to infested-Kerrigan, saying something like "I'm the man who's gonna kill you someday." I haven't played SC2 yet but I'm looking forward to sitting down to it one of these days and seeing how the story plays out. Also, Warcraft 3...

Ninja Gaiden.. first and only 3rd-person close-combat game I've ever played, but I loved it!
