Throughout the review, the reviewer criticizes the game for its many failures. In the end, however, it still receives an A-. Can anyone explain the logic of that to me? Do game reviewers have no sense of objectivity or are they simply blinded by the almighty dollar?

Baldur's Gate II.

FPSes were made popular by Half-Life in 1998, three years before Halo. It also had a deep, engrossing storyline and it boasted strong AI that is easily comparable to anything Halo has to offer, despite the latter having the advantage of time.

What did Halo add to the genre?

Most overrated games ever: Morrowind and Oblivion. Most underrated game ever: Planescape: Torment - to this day, it still amazes me that this game only sold approximately 75,000 copies while Morrowind and Oblivion have sold millions.

Half-Life, Unreal Tournament, Aliens vs Predator, Quake, etc..

The golden age of games ended with the golden age of RPGs(Baldur's Gate series, Planescape, and Fallout). :(

The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion or any of the games from that series. Give me Planescape: Torment, Baldur's Gate, or Fallout any day.
