So Nintendo announced today that they'll be releasing a new mini system in September, the "Snes Mini" and the major kicker to the new retro con will be the inclusion of a previously announced but never released game "Star Fox 2"

So with these announcements and the major success of Nintendo's previous dip into retro con, will the community be seeking the Mini Snes as a day one purchase?

I'm a little turned off by the $80 price tag, but at the same time, that's a really good line up of games. Better than their e-shop prices overall last I looked.

You poor child. There there, it's okay. SNES Classic is coming to make things all better. ;)

Neither did I and I'm pretty sure it's the main reason I want it so badly too!

I had one as a kid, and I remember reading a issue of Nintendo power and seeing something about star fox 2. I couldn't wait for that game to come out because I loved the first one.

I think it might be worth it. Gives people that nostalgia feeling. It'll definitely sell like the NES Classic mini. I for one don't need it. Got this right here to play most SNES games.

In other news, it's sold out already.

The Super Nintendo was pretty much my golden age of gaming. It was my favourite console (just in front of the Game Cube), where games like Secret of Mana taught me that games could have epic stories.

We got a Super Nintendo when my brothers and I were kids. I would have been about seven years old at the time (and I'm twenty nine now). At Christmas, we often didn't get many gifts due to how expensive they were, we often received joined presents to share, and this particular year we got a SNES with Super Mario All Stars. Bloody amazing.

I missed out on the mini NES so this time, I pre-ordered a mini SNES. Got in right on time and pre-ordered straight away, courtesy of a friend of mine (a good mate of mine is a manager at one of the EB Games' stores here, so he gave me a heads up).

Can't wait to get my grubby hands on it.
