Recently, i have bought a Metabox laptop. If you guys dont know the brand metabox, it's basically another reseller or contributor of Clevo. I heard Gigabyte gets their parts on Clevo aswell. Becuase my gpu broke for some reason ( i feel sad becuase i won the ash skin giveaway too ) i decided to buy a laptop so i can bring it to anywhere. I bought a Metabox Alpha N850hj, idk if im right. Well the specs were pretty good, they even had a sale. And the best thing is, eveyr part (not EVERY PART) but some parts are customizable. Ssd, hdd, screen, ram, and even the wifi thingy. I customised my own and got upto $1251 AUD dollars plus shipping. The build quality is really good in reviews and that was the only cheap laptop that look military grade for me. But the specs of mine as i can remember is:

    8gb 2400mhz ram
    Gtx 1050 2gb
    I7 7700hq
    1tb hdd and ssd slot

I am really excited for it and i cant wait.
I wonder if there are better laptops for this build and price. I was gonna choose a 4gb vram ASUS one but it had bad chasis and overall quality so i chose this.

That looks like a great gaming laptop. Just be sure to keep it well cooled. Laptops stress components like crazy, leading to low average life cycles.

I have heard many good reviews about Metabox gaming laptop. I have also upgraded my PC with more storage and graphics. Planning to buy the latest games for my PC while searching online I came across this site. Do you have any suggestions?

MetaBox? A mate of mine has been ranting on about those.

I've been tempted to get one. My PC is completely out of date. Previously, I wanted to upgrade my PC and bits/pieces in it, but unfortunately for me, everything in it is so out of date, I'd essentially need to replace almost every single component, meaning I might as well buy a brand new machine. I bought it back in 2012 and for its time, it was pretty good, but nowadays I can't even run PlayerUnknown: Battlegrounds on it at all, even at minimum specs.

I'm considering a laptop, because I like the idea of being able to take it with me to different places around the house, or to a mate's house, to work etc.

The major problem (same issue most people would have) is of course, money.

The laptop I'm looking at is the Prime P650HP-G, with a few slight modifications (16 GB of RAM over 8 GB, due to video editing and other multimedia), is going to cost $1,978 AUD (about $1578 USD), not including postage. For me, that's a lot of money, especially now that my partner and I have a joint-bank account and are trying to save money together, to try and get a home loan within three to five years.

Cooling the laptop could be an issue if you soup it up ...

i did (different brand) and was great but ran too hot,
and over time dust got in - now looking for a new one (after a few years ;-) )
